Les Sachanowicz serves as Relationship Catalyst for Roland|Criss. He leads the firm’s new client relationships from discovery and collaboration to implementation of Roland|Criss’ fiduciary solutions.
Les is actively involved in facilitating board and executive-level forums within the credit union and higher education communities. Les has over 25 years of experience mitigating risk for boards of directors, board appointed committees, and executives.
Prior to joining Roland|Criss’ team, Les served clients in private practice with specific emphasis on litigation and mediation in employment legal matters. His business acumen enabled him to successfully navigate complex litigation cases in state, federal, and appellate levels. Les served as General Counsel and Director of Risk Advisory Services for the 5th largest credit union in Texas with 650 employees, 250,000 members, and 20 locations. While there, Les served on the leadership team, board liaison to the supervisory committee/audit committee, board governance committee, and retirement committee.
Les successfully built a strategic customer focused legal department and redesigned the credit union’s risk management functions. Additionally, he oversaw legislative and government relations, internal audit, operational quality monitoring, and regulatory legal monitoring.
Les earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Public Administration from Texas State University, Certified as a Mediator by the University of Texas, and a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
